Hey guys, It was nice to see you all at Jenny Brook again. To bad it had to rain. Jamming is better outside, rather than under a tent with a river running threw it.

Hey Boys!
It was great to see you all again this weekend. Even in the rain my sister and I had a blast! It was nice to meet/see your beautiful families! Leigh, I think Ali is awesome!!! I'm glad I got the chance to meet her. And I knew Jack was yours the first moment I saw him-- that Yankees hat gave him away :o)

I was wondering if you mind if I put some video from the Lebanon show & Erin's set up on youtube? I don't know how you guys feel about that, so I don't want to do it without your permission.

Thanks again for a fabulous weekend. Stay safe out on the road. I hope you get some quality time with your families before you hit the road again. I'm sure it's hard to leave them :o( Take care, and if the Good Lord's willing I'll see you at TPB. ~Paula

PS. Mike, I hope you get to go fishing :o)

Rain? wasn't that just a little drizzle? HA! Our campsite, at the low spot beyond the tennis courts, was under 6" of water!(no kidding) But what a great time we had!! What a great festival, and show. You know your fans by who sits in the pouring ran. Some of us are smart to be under a tent. Then there's the die photographer just sitting out in the open!!
Good move on printing red shirts too. Gotta get me one of those! Keep up the great music!! See you in Alburgh if not sooner.

Jim, one of the Doyle brothers here. We saw you in Grand Junction, Colorado, in May, 2006, at the Old Blue Festival. My brother Bill and I just went to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. We talked about your great music, lyrics and stage presence. I bought two copies of Iron & Diamonds, kept one for myself and gave one to Bill. We played it several times while driving around. What a beautiful CD !! I think it is your best so far. The harmony and pure talent on the instruments is just so damn good. The original songs are a special treat, too. Thanks for your hard work on this one.

Thanks for keeping the bluegrass tradition alive at Live Oak, which has gone astray from its bluegrass roots of 20 years ago when I first attended. One of my friends from the Cache Valley Drifters told me I had to check you guys out and sure am glad I did. Did I read this right? You're at the Bunkhouse in Vegas tonight? I'll be there too.

I was at the saturday night show in Victorville and saw the fire but not the fight. I was over by the burning amp. I just want you guys to know you were the best act there. I went to see Blue Highway and of course they were great, but you guys were better . Your fiddler is absolutely the best I've ever seen. You were so nice at the workshop area in spite of the heat and noise. I hope this message of thanks gets to you.
Thanks again , Calvin Patton

Hey guys,
I've been meaning to stop by and leave a message for a couple days. I heard your studio special on XM this weekend. The music was so good, and it was so entertaining. Hi guys,
I'm still savoring your performances last summer at High Mountain Hay Fever in Westcliffe, Colorado. They were great. I'm the one who asked you to play Joanna! We're going to IBMA this year, and wondered if you will be playing any of the showcases! Sure hope so because we really love your music. My grandson (age 14) has started liking bluegrass because of seeing you guys last summer!

The interview on WAMU's bluegrass country was very cool to listen to. You should package that hour and sell it as the "Gibson Stories CD". The music was great, and hearing the comments between each song made that hour the shortest one I have worked in a while. Thanks and I hope to hear more like that.

Have followed your rising star for some time now and have been wanting to catch your shows but the timing just hasn't worked out right for me to see you at NACS, or last year when you were in VA, so sure hope my plans work out to see you in Asheville, NC, in August! I am an Ellenburg girl but moved away some time ago; am proud of your talents and success. Wish my husband Gil were alive to enjoy your music. He played guitar and wrote songs just for fun as did many of his family members.
Two friends and I are planning on arriving early for the show to get good seats. Hope you will have time to autograph my I&D CD. See you in August!

WOW!!! It's hard to imagine the Gibson Brothers getting better every time you hear them... BUT... THEY DO!!! We had the privilege of partaking of their incredible talents at The Green Bean in Greensboro, NC last night. By the time we'd arrived we were anxious for the music to begin. My son, his wife and their two young sons are more recent fans of the GB's and it's like seeing a child on Christmas morning or in a candy store as I watched them come alive with the music and seeing all the guys again. Clayton has certainly grown musically over the past months and it's so evident in his playing. I've always admired his talent and he just keeps getting better. Clayton "smoked 'em" on Old Joe Clark as well as other songs played. (My bias for the fiddle isn't showing is it? - hahahaha). Mike's bass segment was definitely a crowd pleaser. Mike has a talent that goes way beyond so many bassists today. I look forward to seeing him receiving the accolades he truly deserves in the near future. Rick, as always, brought his smile that doesn't quit. Rick's talent is so evident when he's highlighted in a song and also in the overall blending of his music with all the guys. Rick had his talents showcased throughout the evening as well and is definitely a crowd pleaser. Eric and Leigh bring to every show something so many bands lack...and that's heart for every note and word they sing and/or play. You only have to watch the expressions on their faces and KNOW that it all comes from the heart. Leigh and Eric, besides having so much talent, are two of the most personable, incredible people you could ever be so privileged to meet. When Eric is singing one of the songs he's written you can't help but sense his depth of feeling he puts into each note, each word...we had the privilege of hearing Eric sing "She Paints a Picture" last night...every time I hear this song a wonderful mind picture is painted for me. Eric's artistry is present in everything he does musically...what a wonderful asset to Bluegrass in this young man. I would love to share a more personal moment with you regarding Leigh from last night but suffice it to say Leigh endeared himself to me even more than I thought possible last night with just 5 little words. Talk about another asset to Bluegrass and that's Leigh. His talents are incredible. His love for the music is shown in everything he does. He pours out his heart with both his playing and singing. Leigh brings to The Gibson Brothers yet another facet that sets them apart from other Bluegrass bands. Leigh demonstrates not only his musical talents but his ability to make you feel even strings breaking while playing is "part of the show"...Leigh's humor, Rick's ever present smile, Mike's aside grins with Rick, Clayton's quiet nature, and Eric's very stage presence all blend together to make The Gibson Brothers' the great band they are today. Many Bluegrass bands are out there today but NONE bring with them the whole package like The Gibson Brothers do...Thanks guys for yet another night of incredible memories for me and my family. The Gibson Brothers have only begun, they're not reaching for the stars... the stars are reaching for them!!!!

Hi guys!
Great show at Strawberry Park. Irons & Diamonds has been playing nonstop since we got home. So glad festival season has started, but no going that far again for a while...too hard.
Little Brown Eyes recovered AND will not sleep in anything but her Gibson Brothers T-shirt (adult L) That's how you know she's not mad. If you get any more kids sizes, please save us one.
Hope the rest of your tour that weekend went well. From the comments looks like it did.
See you at Jenny Brook!
Peace
